I bought this so my 19 month old son could start learning shapes and better hand/eye coordination. Well, he likes/liked the toy for only a little while. When he got frustrated he just took the top off and placed all the shapes in the bucket. The problem (in my opinion) is that the top comes off too easily. It doesn't even snap into place to lock so that the child is forced to learn how to match the shapes into the appropriate holes. he knows his shapes and has actually learned how to put them in the holes but since the top comes off so easily, it has not been converted into a carrying bucket instead of a learning toy.
